On behalf of the Student Council of India, congratulations to all UMCP students admitted for Fall 2011!

As part of our services rendered to the Indian Student Community, SCI provides Airport pick-ups & temporary accommodation to the incoming students.
As you might be busy booking Visa Dates, doing group bookings, spend some time in filling out the tentative registration forms for Temporary accommodation and Airport pick up that is provided in the links given below.

To enroll yourself for Airport pick-up and/or temporary accommodation you will have to follow three simple steps:-
1. Fill all the details mentioned in the SCI Registration form. We need your schedule for the same.
2. Fill the Graduate Student Group (GSG) registration sheet (will be circulated to all of you in a few days time).
3. Join the SCI fall'11 Group to get all the updates.

How does it work?
1. Based on the information fed in the SCI Registration Form, we will arrange for Airport pick-ups & temporary accommodation. Please update all the details such as airport name, airline, flight number, arrival time, airport pick up (Yes/No), Temporary Accommodation (Yes/No), Personal Details (email and phone numbers) and Emergency Contact Person and their phone number by 15 June 2011. 2. GSG helps SCI in arranging airport pick-ups by providing shuttle. Based on the number of students coming on different dates, GSG will provide shuttle service. Please note that it is absolutely essential to enter your details on SCI form as well as . GSG Registration form.
3. SCI has created Google Group. All the updates for the incoming students will be sent through this group. You can join the same at SCI Fall 2011

Points to remember:-
1. As far as possible, please book tickets in groups and on Weekends so that it's easier from logistics perspective and easier for volunteers to pick you up from the airport.
2. Inform us well in advance (at least two weeks in advance) if there is any change in your travel plan.
3. Do not keep SCI Airport pick up as backup because seniors will be waiting for you at the air port to receive you in spite being busy with his/her job.
4. This is completely a Voluntary service for the welfare of new students every year. So, we request you to consider the challenges faced by the volunteers who are students as well and cooperate with them.
